The bridge will be closed for one day next week for work to be carried out on the bridge upgrade project to provide a stronger and safer river crossing for motorists.
The bridge will be closed between 6am and 6pm on Wednesday, January 21, weather permitting.
The pedestrian path across the bridge will remain open under traffic control.
A detour via Federation Bridge will be in place between Corowa and Wahgunyah during these times.
Outside of this closure, work will continue on the bridge on weekdays between 6am and 5pm until June, weather permitting.
Single lane closures, traffic control and reduced speed limits of 20 km/h and 40 km/h will be in place around the work area for the safety of workers and motorists.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
