Billabong Crows 66 def CDHBU 24
We always knew it was a tough ask with where Billabong are on the ladder, yet we gave it our best shot.
Injuries did not help and we battled on,
Gabi and Erica never gave up and fought all day as did Alyce, Brooke and Karina.
Chloe and Rachel tried hard against the much stronger and taller defenders.

Great game to watch with neither team giving away anything.
The lead changed so many times it was a great spectator game with it going down to the last 20 seconds but we just could not capitalize to equal and went down 42-41.
Considering a 20 goal loss last time around, it was a huge improvement.
All the team stood out and played their part which only shows that we are on the improve and heading in the right direction.

We had a hard fought game against a strong side and unfortunately our fitness let us down Saturday.

The C res girls didn’t have the best day against the Crows as they proved to be just a bit too strong for us.
However we still kept our heads up and were determined to keep the pressure on throughout the whole game.
Shout out to Megs for goal of the year.

The defence end worked hard to get the ball back.
Soph shone in the ring this week guiding the younger girls.
Thanks to the 14’s girls for stepping up.

The girls fought hard for all 4 quarters.
Pressure was on all game.
Holliegh and Eloise did everything they were asked to do in the quarter time huddles.
Lara and Ava played a great game in the centre, driving to the ball like asked.
Result did not reflect how hard the girls worked.

The girls worked hard at training on their defensive skills and it was great to see them put it into play on game day.
With only 8 this week and the warmer weather the girls did well to push through.
Tamir, Niamh and Elise played well in goals backing each other up and moving well in the ring, while Kara had a great game in WA being an option and chasing up any loose balls.
Jade played a solid 3 quarters in centre applying pressure the whole way down the court.
Bree had a good game in WD getting a few deflections while Evie and Sommers had an outstanding game in defence putting into play everything we have been working on at training for the past two weeks.
Well done girls, enjoy the week off!
