Betting, 1982 Corowa cup winner, Tim Fisher MP Corowa Cup to owners,
Spring is here and it’s time to put on your best race day attire, for the Corowa Race Club’s Melbourne Cup Eve Race Day meeting this coming Monday.
Why not get dressed to impress and take part in this year’s Race Day Fashions, with a dinner, bed and breakfast package on offer for Lady of the Day, a dinner for two sponsored by Pickled Sister Rutherglen for the Millinery Award and Junior Race Goer (Under 16 years) gets $100 voucher sponsored by Cann’s Bus Lines.
The gates will be open at 11:30, entry is $20 for adults, $10 for pensioners and children under 16 free, entertainment will be by Ray Macartney and there will be a free jumping castle for the kids.
Macca’s Catering is in the canteen and will be serving plenty of delicious food.
Bookmakers will be on-course as will the TAB and bar facilities - no BYO alcohol.
Hopefully the weather gods will be good, and everyone will have a great day watching top class country racing.
The feature race will be the Federation Stakes which has increased prizemoney, so should attract excellent fields with many district horses expected to participate.
Vina Rock raced to victory in the 1982 Corowa Cup, ridden by P. Davis.
The fashions have changed over the year but the name of the game remains the same.
