Community spirit was front and centre as Club Corowa hosted a special celebration event to honour the recipients of round one of the 2026 ClubGRANTS program last Friday.

The event brought together representatives from a diverse range of local organisations, all united by a shared commitment to strengthening the Corowa region.
Through the ClubGRANTS program, vital funding has been delivered to grassroots initiatives, sporting clubs, schools and volunteer groups that enrich local life and foster connection, wellbeing and opportunity.
Established in 1998 across New South Wales, the ClubGRANTS program provides a structured framework for registered clubs to give back to their communities through financial and in-kind support for essential services, programs and projects.
Emily Wilson and Jordan Wallis from Corowa Sth Public School receive $1,000.
Club Corowa Chief Executive Officer Peter Norris said investing in community organisations is one of the club’s most important roles.
“Supporting our local community organisations is one of the most valuable investments we can make for our town,” Mr Norris said.
“It is integral to our mission of Bringing People Together.”

Judy Black, Jenny Lawrence and Anne Summerill from Corowa RSL Bowls Club receive $7,000.
This year’s Round one funding recipients represent the breadth and strength of the Corowa region’s community network.
A total of twelve clubs and community groups received cheques from Club Corowa president Chirs Thomas at the morning tea celebration on Friday.
Building on the success of round one, round two of the ClubGRANTS program is now officially open.
Local not-for-profit organisations, sporting clubs and community groups are encouraged to apply for funding to support programs that enhance social inclusion, promote wellbeing and strengthen community ties.
Club Corowa remains committed to empowering local organisations and ensuring the Corowa community continues to thrive together.

Stacey Price and David Potts from Corowa Rotary Club receive $5,000.
Susan Cottermole and Courtney Ladhams from Wahgunyah Speedway receive $1,950.
