This year’s event attracted national presidents from Apex Malaysia and Apex India, as well as 18 members from Apex Philippines.
Cobram-Barooga Apex member and regional communicator Damien Guthrie said it was a great weekend and everyone had fun.
“I think everyone really enjoyed it, the weather was definitely very kind to us, and it was an amazing weekend,” he said.
Damien said it was particularly exciting and “fantastic” to welcome international presidents to the event.
The convention began on Friday, October 9, with attendees heading to Tocumwal Brewery for afternoon tea, followed by informal dinner at a marquee set up at RACV Resort Cobram, with attendees taking part in trivia and public speaking competitions.

The national board also ran an in-person workshop at the Cobram Barooga Apex clubhouse as part of its emerging leaders program.
The workshop gave participants an opportunity to meet in person and hear from Jim Hughes about his time in Apex and long experience leading businesses throughout Australia.
The Cobram-Barooga club currently has around 18 members, with one inducted on the night by the national president, which was a special moment for the club.
On Saturday, Apex Australia held its annual general meeting at the Cobram Civic Centre, while non-delegates enjoyed a tour of the sights, visiting the Big Strawberry and Cactus Country.
In the evening, a formal gala dinner was held at the Cobram Civic Centre, offering Apexians a chance to dress up and reflect on the achievements of the organisation.
The achievements of specific individuals and clubs were recognised with the presentation of annual awards.

Among those recognised was Cobram-Barooga member Sydney Cogdell as the ‘best first year Apexian’.
“He's definitely very deserving ... he’s really embraced and gotten involved in everything,” Damien said.
The convention wrapped up on Sunday, October 11, with most attendees departing after breakfast.
Those who were able to stay took part in a rubbish pickup on the walking track between Barooga and Cobram.
Damien thanked the local businesses and community organisations who supported the convention.
“It wouldn’t have been possible without the assistance we received, including driving of buses, catering, supply of merchandise, vouchers, discounted entries, accommodation and venue support,” he said.
The convention started with afternoon tea at the Tocumwal Brewery.
