Cocaine, cannabis allegedly found in Benalla home

Benalla Neighbourhood Policing Team executed a search warrant on a Thomas St, Benalla, property about 8.40am on May 15.

Police seized what is alleged to be cocaine, 1,4-Butanediol, and two cannabis plants from the house.

A 23-year-old Wangaratta woman was arrested at the scene.

Police located a vehicle of interest on Waller St shortly after. A 26-year-old man and a 21-year-old man, both from Benalla, were arrested.

It is alleged keys believed to be stolen during a burglary in Cobram on May 13 were inside the vehicle.

The Wangaratta woman was issued a caution. The 21-year-old man was released without charge.

The 26-year-old man was charged with trafficking and possessing cocaine, cultivating and possessing cannabis, possessing 1,4-Butanediol, possessing schedule four poison, possessing equipment used in trafficking a drug of dependence, possessing proceeds of crime, and failing to comply with direction by a magistrate.

He was charged and bailed to appear at Benalla Magistrates' Court on September 10.
