Senior cricket will begin this Saturday, October 12 with the A Grade taking on Eskdale at the Eskdale Football Ground.
The A Grade team, which will again be led by coach Dan Athanitis, will be looking to improve on last year’s finals disappointment with some handy recruits including Jordan Hanstead (batter/keeper from Bruck Rovers), Jeremy Carr (batter/keeper from City Colts), and batsman Fraser Elliott.
Junior Cricket
The Under 16s will begin their campaign a week later, on October 18 and each match will be played on Friday’s from 5pm, with predominantly 40 over contests. Under 16s will be coached by Doug Lavis and mentored by Matt Grantham. Training is on Thursdays at 4.30pm.
The Under 14s will be coached by Brian Eales with the first game on Saturday, October 19. Games are on Saturday mornings and again, mainly 40 over contests. Training is 5pm on Wednesday’s.
The Under 12s will be coached by Chris Abley, Brett Forge and Paul Lavis with the first game on Friday, October 25. Training will be Tuesday afternoons at 4.30pm. Games are 1.15hrs each starting at 5pm on Fridays.

Woolworth Junior Blasters
The Master Blaster and Junior Blast starts on Wednesday, October 16 and finishes on Wednesday, December 11.
Woolworths Junior Blasters is aimed at children aged 5 to 7 and the Woolworths Master Blasters is aimed at children aged 8 to 10. The starting time is 5pm (for Master Blaster) and 5.30pm for (Junior Blaster) on a Wednesday night with both programmes finishing at the same time.

Club news
In other news Jay Lavis and Tyler Abley competed in the Under 13 Youth Championships in Dubbo last week. The boys played in 20 and 40 over matches against the best Under 13s in NSW. Special mention to Tyler who ended up the leading wicket taker for the competition. The Under 14s were represented by Jack Eales, Justin Lewis and Lach Raggett.
