Although the CWA has grown to accommodate many things, the tried, tested, and famous CWA scones will be on offer.
They will be made using the same recipe served at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
CWA caps and cookbooks will also be available, and members will run a raffle.
Prizes include a hand‑crocheted blanket, lovingly made and donated by Maggie Law.
Locals are encouraged to stop by, say hello, and enjoy a fresh scone for morning tea.
All proceeds will support CWA activities in the community.
The market is hosted by the Naponda Hospital Auxiliary on the second Saturday of each month in the Deniliquin CBD.

Golf fundraiser
Golfers and supporters of local education are invited to tee off for a good cause at the Country Education Foundation Edward River Region Fundraiser on Sunday, September 20 at the Deniliquin Golf Club.
The 18 hole, four ball Ambrose event begins at 12pm, with a $30 entry fee that includes a barbecue lunch and prizes.

Funds raised will support the Country Education Foundation of Edward River Region, which provides financial assistance to local youth aged 16 to 25 to pursue post‑school education and training.

Nice weather for finals
Locals and visitors heading to Mathoura for the Picola League grand finals can expect a fine run of weather right through the weekend, with clear skies and mild spring warmth setting the tone.
Friday will be sunny and calm, reaching around 20 °C, before temperatures climb to 22 °C on Saturday - warm for players but great for spectators - and then climbing to 25°C on Sunday.

Deniliquin artist Rachel Braybon has a pop-up art exhibition at the Peppin Heritage Centre for this week and next week.
Utilising the space to work on a piece destined for the Finley Hospital, Rachel encourages people to come in and say ‘hi’.

Swooping warning
The worst of swooping season is upon us, with magpies busy protecting their nests.
Locals are reminded to stay alert, with a particularly troublesome bird having been spotted harassing high schoolers on their way to school on Harfleur St.
Magpies typically swoop to defend their young, and while the behaviour is seasonal, it can catch unsuspecting passersby off guard.
Cyclists, children, and walkers are most at risk, so wearing hats, keeping eye contact, and avoiding known nesting areas can help reduce encounters, and a few zip-ties in a bike helmet can go a long way.
You should also watch your small animals at this time of the year - especially the feathered kind.
A PT staffer had to rescue a small bird outside our office on Wednesday morning after it was set upon by two magpies.
They had the bird pinned down in the middle of the road and, when startled by the rescuer, one tried to carry the small bird away in its talons.
