We are proud of what we achieved with this publication and have been so pleased with the number of congratulatory emails and positive comments that we have received, it seems as if it really hit the mark with our readers and the community.
It certainly gives us motivation to continue it as an 'Annual' and we already have a 2026 one on the list.

Roadworks underway on Cemetery Road
Edward River Council has commenced roadworks on Cemetery Road, between Abattoir Road and the Cobb Highway (Ochtertyre Street) intersection.
Works began in the first week of February and are expected to continue through to the end of March, weather permitting. Crews will be on site daily from 6am to 6pm, and motorists should expect minor delays or changed traffic conditions during this period.
Council has thanked residents for their patience while these essential upgrades are completed.
ERC seeking volunteers for Town Hall program
Edward River Council is calling for community‑minded locals to become Friends of the Town Hall, with volunteer opportunities now open at the beautifully restored Deniliquin Town Hall.
Volunteers help welcome visitors, support events and share the stories of the historic 1876 building. The role is flexible, with people only called on for occasional activities throughout the year.

Support local table tennis at Sunday movie fundraiser
The Deniliquin Table Tennis Club is inviting the community to a special Marty Supreme movie event Sunday, February 22, at 1.30pm.
Junior members have been working hard to promote the fundraiser, and the club is encouraging locals to come along and show their support.

Bowls birthday surprise
Due to Pennant Bowls being cancelled on the weekend due to the heat, the RSL Diggers still celebrated the 18th birthday of one of their youngest and most exciting players, Jake Glenn .
Many members were present as were Jake’s family members and friends .
Great food and fun were enjoyed by everyone.
Later in the day Craig bought out the trivial pursuit, taking on Jake and his brothers, well done Mason on the win.
Free Mental Health First Aid course in March
A free 12‑hour Standard Mental Health First Aid course will be held at the Deniliquin Golf Club on March 19 and 20, running from 9am to 4pm each day.
The training teaches participants how to support an adult experiencing a mental health problem or crisis until professional help is available.
The course is funded for the community, with all materials provided. Participants are asked to supply their own lunch.
