Smaller penlots dominated as last drafts were cleaned out in the dry conditions and ahead of winter.
There were no feature lines of heavy or trade lambs to really test the market.
Prices tended to follow the quality down in a weaker market.
Lambs sold to a top of $184 and the better finished lead pens were estimated in a range of 600c to 650c/kg carcase weight - the better trade types making from $140 to $158/head.
Underneath this was a mixed run of lambs at $70 to $140/head, the price determined by breed, number in a pen and quality.
There was a big run of light Merino lambs off one Riverina station, and they generally made from $55 to $105.
Very small and light Merinos made from $2 to $30/head.
The mutton sale was also softer, again with quality and number in a pen a limitation at times.
Heavy meat breed ewes made from $77 to $94/head. Merino ewes in wool to $104/head.
