Drivers can expect conditions to change along Allan St and at the intersection with Albion St for a four- to five-week project managed by ACE Infrastructure for Becon and McDonald’s Australia, which includes new footpaths, driveway crossovers, drainage works and pavement repairs.
A new raised pedestrian crossing will also be built west of the Allan St and Albion St intersection, requiring periodic closures of the existing crossing.
Speed limits will be reduced to 40km/h temporarily, with Allan St, Albion St and Bishop St remaining open to two-way traffic, though driver delays may occur due to narrowed lanes and periodic shuttle-flow traffic management during working hours.
Construction crews will operate Monday to Saturday between 7am and 6pm, with occasional night works expected. Access to nearby homes and businesses will be maintained.
