Lockmore Financial Services, in partnership with Bendigo Bank, runs the Community Bank in Elmore, Lockington and Rochester.
Growing up on a family dairy farm at Allansford, Mr Holloway developed his passion for agriculture and small communities early in life.
Mr Holloway completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Science at CSU in Wagga Wagga and currently works as national key accounts and solutions manager with Semex Pty Ltd.
He lives in Lockington with his wife, Bridget, and their young children.
His commitment to local sport is evident through his involvement with BLU Cricket Club and his role as co-coach of the LBU Football Club's reserves team in 2023 and he supports Essendon and Melbourne Storm.
“I love local sport and enjoy the social and wellbeing aspect of small country clubs,” he said.
Mr Holloway was approached by an existing board member in April 2021, as he was deemed a great fit due to his passion and community involvement.
The importance of local banking services cannot be overstated in regional areas.
“The other banks left our towns of Elmore, Lockington and Rochester many years ago, so Lockmore has allowed banking services to remain in the area,” Mr Holloway said.
“This is vital, particularly in a time where AI and offshoring is taking over, our locals still really value and need face-to-face service from locals that care.
“To date Lockmore has contributed over $4 million to the area, which has had a huge impact.
“And Lockmore’s board of directors is made up entirely of volunteer locals.”
The community impact is substantial, with around 80 per cent of banking service profits returning directly to the community through sponsorships, dividends, scholarships and grants.
The volunteer-driven approach extends beyond the board.
“Volunteers keep essential services and community life running, from sporting clubs and events to fire brigades, committees and local initiatives, often filling gaps where there simply aren’t enough paid resources,” Mr Holloway said.
“Thank you to all of our local volunteers.
“We know that without you, our community just wouldn’t be the same.”
The Community Bank team in Elmore, Lockington and Rochester would love to show you how your banking can make a genuine difference in our community.
