The Riverina Sheep and Wool Expo brought a good crowd to the Conargo Recreation Reserve for the second consecutive year on Wednesday.

A cross-section of people in the industry came from around the district and further afield - including as far as Coonamble.
Organisers estimate at least 300 people passed through the gates.
The event was again hosted by Riverina Merino, and supported by Elders, Nutrien, the Australian Wool Network and a range of other sponsors.
The expo is a re-imagining of the former Elders Riverina Sheep Expo.
This year there were featured displays from 10 Riverina ‘host studs’ and 19 guest studs from around the country - including nine first time exhibitors - representing a diverse array of Merino and other wool sheep breeds.

There were also more than 28 trade sites with a mixture of animal health products, feed and local services, animal husbandry and more on display.
Expo co-convenor David Wilson said the combination of wet weather and high commodity and feed prices made for a good time for industry producers to get together.
The guest presentations were another highlight of the day, with attendees keen to learn practical skills they could take back to their own operations.
Australian Merino Production Trial’s Craig Wilson provided insights from the nation’s largest independent research study into Merino genetics and discussed how producers can make informed breeding decisions.
Hayley Pattison from Pattison Pastoral Butchery in Deniliquin gave a popular live demonstration on home lamb butchering.
Conargo Public School students sold raffle tickets and got to learn more about the industry, while there was a range of additional food, beverage and wool accessories stalls.
The formal events were once again presented by MC Ian Evans, with Connor Henderson winning the lucky door prize.
