Eskimo Joe and Daryl Braithwaite will headline the two-night in-house concert to be held on January 27 and 28.
Braithwaite and Eskimo Joe, both long standing popular performers, will headline on separate days, with the ever-popular Eskimo Joe taking the stage on Friday, January 27 supported by local artists, Cherry Chain and Sam + Sam. Meanwhile, music icon Daryl Braithwaite will feature on Saturday, January 28, with 3DaysReign and Andrew Wishart launching the show.
“It’s been a difficult end to 2022 for many people in the community,” Corowa RSL CEO Peter Norris said.
“We understand there’s an incredibly tough road ahead for those in our region and beyond recently impacted by the devastating floods. People have been affected in a variety of ways.
“Although a concert does not diminish the effort required to get individuals, community groups and businesses back to a semblance of how things were pre floods, it is our hope that the Uniting Our Communities Flood Relief Concert Weekend will bring a positive vibe to the community as we all support those who need it moving into the coming months and years.
Ready to rock! The Corowa RSL Club’s flood relief concert held on the Australia Day weekend will see Eskimo Joe headline the Friday concert, with Daryl Braithwaite featuring on the Saturday night.
“This is also a fantastic opportunity to get some local bands performing. Sam + Sam are incredibly talented performing and recording artists who originate from the Murray region. On top of this, 3DaysReign is another one of our brilliant town favourites, known for delivering huge performances of rock anthems and party hits.”
At last month’s monthly council meeting in Urana, Federation Council opted not to financially support the concert, but had recommended in-kind support offering to find a location. However, it was determined by the club that it was logistically easier to host the event at the club.
Doors will open for the shows at 7pm, with tickets available at $45 each via
