Local multicultural organisations in the Shepparton region are being encouraged to apply for grants of up to $50,000 through the Multicultural Festivals and Events Grant Program, with applications closing on October 23.
State Member for Shepparton Shepparton Kim O’Keeffe emphasised the program’s importance for local community groups.
“Our local multicultural organisations are such a big part of our communities. They bring people together, celebrate culture and promote diversity,” Ms O’Keeffe said.
“Our region is enriched by our multicultural communities and the contributions they make.”
