Public toilets are essential community infrastructure that contribute to positive health and wellbeing outcomes of everyone.
The Indigo Public Toilet Strategy aims to guide the future planning, upgrades, improvements, management and provision of public toilets.
The strategy also aims to identify locations for new facilities based on analysis, data and community needs.
To ensure that the strategy meets the needs of the shire’s diverse communities now and in the future, council are asking residents to provide their feedback.
Your input will also help to shape an action plan that will enable council to prioritise future upgrades needed to ensure public toilets are safe, inclusive and accessible for everyone.
You can view or download the Draft Indigo Shire Public Toilet Strategy on Indigo Shire’s website.
How can you provide feedback?
Dropping a pin on the interactive map on the shire’s website to let council know about existing facilities or where a new public toilet is needed.
Completing a short survey online or by picking up a hard copy survey from your nearest Council office.
Sending a written submission to info@indigoshire.vic.gov.au or to 2 Kurrajong Way, PO Box 28, Beechworth VIC 3747.
Feedback closes this Sunday, August 4, 2024.
