The news will be welcomed in the town, and the possibility of new carparking in Lowe Square may well be too, but what of the town’s BMX track?
Federation Council is asking for community feedback on a proposal from the Lowe Square management committee to remove the existing BMX dirt track at the reserve in order to free up space for overflow car parking during major sporting events and high-use periods.

Council is inviting residents to have their say on the proposed BMX Track removal.
Federation Council mayor, Cheryl Cook said overflow parking was a constant challenge and the proposal was about finding a smart, two-part solution.
