With the concrete slab poured and framing under way, Kyabram McDonald’s owner Adrian Majda says construction is going to move very quickly at the Allan St site.
The opening of the fast food outlet marks an exciting chapter for Mr Majda, who brings 30 years of McDonald’s experience to the venture as only the second corporate employee in the nation to open their own store.

A country Victorian at heart, his journey with the company began as a casual 15-year-old crew member in Mildura.
After completing school, he worked at stores in Adelaide, rising through the ranks as a crew trainer, shift assistant, manager and supervisor, before he took the opportunity to join the corporate office in Melbourne.
Mr Majda said becoming a licensee was a privilege and something he’d been working towards for a long time.
“It’s a privilege to be able to get in there and operate the first fast food outlet in Ky,” he said.
“We really just want to bury ourselves into the Ky life and become part of the community.”
McDonald’s will introduce several firsts for the town, including 24-hour operation, drive-through service and an indoor playground for kids.
In addition to the construction jobs it has already produced, Mr Majda said the new store would create about 80 to 100 jobs once it becomes operational.
With applications now open, people can visit careers.mcdonalds.com.au and search ‘Kyabram’ to find openings for crew, barista, maintenance and manager positions.
