The clinic, dubbed Lend Me Your Arm, will run from 7.30am – 12.30pm is open to all community members, and particularly those in the agricultural sector.
It’s being run as a partnership between the Corowa Local Health Advisory Committee (LHAC) and the CWA.
The Corowa Medical Clinic will also offer free COVID-19 and flu vaccinations.
“Protecting our community’s health is a team effort,” said spokesperson, Anne Westcott.
“By bringing the clinic to the Saleyards, we’re making it easier than ever for farmers, agents and truck drivers to drop in, get protected, and get on with their day.”
Attendees must bring their current Medicare card to receive their vaccinations then following their appointment, participants can head over to the BlueGum Cafe for a free coffee, courtesy of Brocklesby-Corowa Branch NSW Farmers.
“This provides a great opportunity for community members to catch up and support a local business while looking after their health,” Anne said.
This initiative is made possible with a Federation Council Community Grant, highlighting the council's commitment to local wellbeing and accessible healthcare services.
No bookings are required; this is a walk-in service designed for convenience.
The Corowa LHAC acts as a vital link between the local community and health services, ensuring that the needs of Corowa residents are met with proactive and accessible health solutions.
