The 11th annual Line Dance Weekend was held at the Corowa RSL Club on the weekend of August 9 and 10.
A great fun weekend was had by the dancers who traveled from as far as Griffith, Crookwell, Milton Braidwood, Albury and Sanctuary Point in NSW. Victorian dancers ventured from Echuca, Cohuna, Bendigo, Swan Hill Rochester, Wodonga, Melbourne and Romsey, as well as a group of dancers from Canberra.
The weekend kicked off with a meet and greet social on Friday night, hosted by Gloria McClusky.
After a good night’s rest, it was on to the Saturday workshops – a beginners workshop on Saturday morning and an intermediate workshop Saturday afternoon, both of these events were well attended and some good dances were taught and a lot of laughs were in abundance.
On Saturday evening a very good crowd of dancers attended the social which had a theme of “Pyjama Party”, and everyone dressed to impress, with some fun pjyama combo’s on display.
On Sunday morning after a hearty breakfast in town, people travelled home.
Overall it was a great weekend and enjoyed by all, keep your eye out for the date for 2020, and come along and join in the fun.
