In a welcomed addition to the Corowa Police Force, Senior Constable Sam Parkinson has recently joined the community, bringing with him 13 years of extensive policing experience.
Originally hailing from Gosford, the 31-year-old decided to make the move to Corowa with his wife and their five-month-old baby boy, seeking a change of scenery and a family-friendly environment.
With a diverse background in law enforcement, Senior Constable Parkinson served six years in general duties in Sydney, and an additional eight years dedicated to highway patrol.
During the unprecedented times of COVID-19 border closures, Senior Constable Parkinson was deployed to the border.
Senior Constable Parkinson expressed his reasons for choosing Corowa, stating that the positive recommendations from current staff played a significant role in his decision.
“I’ve heard great things about the community here, and it seemed like the ideal place for my wife, our little one, and me,” he said.
In his new role with Corowa Police Senior Constable Parkinson will be undertaking general duties. Additionally, he will take on the responsibilities of the lock-up keeper.
