The local trips, the vehicles and the camaraderie are what makes the annual Khaki Vehicle Enthusiasts (KVE) want to return to Corowa.

“Keeping up with all the old vehicles, keeping them alive and the people you catch up with every year and the trips you go,” is the reasoning behind Tim Hughes being part of the big, annual event.
Tim, from Wahgunyah, has been part of the event for “about 20 years”. And this year is special, according to Harvey Black of Narrandera – he brought his 1942 Ford GPW Jeep in this Year of the Jeep theme.
“I’ve been coming for years and years,” the KVE Vice-President said. “Narrandera is 900ks away and I wouldn’t miss this event.”
Located near the Ball Park entrance, Trevor Boyd’s immaculate 2 and 1/5th scale M113 A1 MRV machine was eye catching with everyone entering the park.
“It took me two years to build,” the former fitter and turner and now business owner, said.
This year’s event is the second visit time for Trevor from Maitland, an eight-hour trip away.
