Out of the pages and into the playground

At Jerilderie Public School students and staff celebrated with a parade on Thursday.

At Berrigan Public School a day earlier, students celebrated with open classrooms and a book week parade of their own.

At both schools, students and staff were asked to dress up as a character from their favourite book.

“The array of costumes and effort put in by all was overwhelming, making the judge’s decision for best outfit very, very difficult,” BPS principal Dorothy Dore said.

“It was a most successful Book Week, with amazing support from all.”
