A 20-year-old Heathcote man faces 13 charges after a Mazda SUV allegedly failed to give way when turning on to Broadway St, Cobram, around 4.10pm on Saturday, August 2.
The SUV collided with a westbound Mitsubishi Triton, forcing it off the road and on to the footpath.
Soon after the collision, police say the driver of the SUV returned a positive drug test for methylamphetamine.
A police search later allegedly uncovered a range of illicit drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy and prescription medication, in the SUV.
Police also allegedly uncovered prohibited weapons in the car, including a hunting knife, a machete and a pair of nun-chucks.
SES crew members cut their way through the smashed right side of the Triton.
