Sunday driver on wrong side of road
A 38-year-old Mulwala woman was detected driving on the wrong side of the road in Belmore Street, Yarrawonga on Sunday January 5. The female returned a positive alcohol reading of 0.196. The woman’s driver’s licence was immediately cancelled and vehicle impounded. She will face the Cobram Magistrates Court at a later date
Telford fire
The last day of 2024 was not a good one for Yarrawonga’s Inchbold family. Some 20 hectares of wheat stubble were burnt following a tractor fire on the Yarrawonga Benalla Road property. The fire was sparked by a bay baler. Seven CFA units accross the district extinguished the fire which was announced under control at about 9.30am.
