The much-anticipated event has attracted almost 500 entries and features a $16,900 prize pool across six categories from painting, photography, 3D artworks, work on paper to youth.
The Youth Category is particularly strong this year, with impressive representation from Rutherglen High School and entries from southern NSW, North-East Victoria, Sydney, Canberra, Mildura, Brisbane, Western Australia and Melbourne.
The Gala Opening evening is always a highlight, bringing together artists, sponsors, judges and the community to celebrate over wine and gourmet nibbles.
Our 2026 judges, Kirrily Anderson and Natalie Ord, are both highly regarded Chiltern-based artists with extensive exhibition and installation experience.
Tickets for the Gala on March 6 can be purchased at trybooking.com/DCBBO.
They sell out quickly, so early booking is recommended.
All of the pieces exhibited are for sale.
The event coincides with Tastes of Rutherglen, food and wine festival, making it a wonderful time to visit during the mellow autumn months.
One of the most heartening aspects for Arts Rutherglen and the wider community is the strong attendance throughout the ten days of the exhibition.
With an entry fee of $5 (students free), the event attracts many local and interstate visitors, supporting both the arts and the local economy.
