At the same presentation, she and her husband Wayne were also jointly awarded the Debbie Nicholls award for Volunteers of the Year.
The Bradleys were unable to attend that presentation day, so the SRCC decided to come to them.
SRCC president Mark Haberfield was in Deniliquin earlier this week to catch up with the duo and present them with their awards personally.
“They were worthy recipients for all their tireless work that they do for SRCC, especially with the winter camp,” he said.
Kids and food info
Murrumbidgee Local Health District is running a series of information session for parents of young children.
A virtual forum on introducing solids to your infant’s diet will be hosted on Tuesday, September 2 from 11am-12pm.
It will cover topics like nutrition and growth concerns for children aged from nine months to 24 months, what food to offer and how much, allergies, sensory feeding issues and oral hygiene.
The food theme will continue with a session targeted for parents of children aged 2-8 a week later, also from 11am-12pm.
The ‘Fun, not fuss, with food’ session will cover many of the same topics as the infant session, but also cover food refusal and food play, and family meals.

Batteries for fingerlings
The Moulmein Men’s Shed is on the hunt for old vehicle batteries to raise funds for the purchase of fingerlings.
NSW Fisheries match their fundraising $2 for every $1 they raise.
Moulamein Matters columnist Ian ‘China’ Gibson said those with larger vehicles in particular could make a huge difference by donating.
“I worked it out roughly. For the bigger tractor batteries, it comes to about 40 fingerlings,” he said.
“Well worth giving your old buggered batteries to our Men’s Shed.
“They can come and pick them up, or you can drop them off in front of the Men’s Shed in town.
“If you have a heap out at your place. The old fellas would appreciate them being on a palate for easy loading.
“Turning lead into fish. Even Jesus couldn’t do that.”

In other Moulamein news, the Moulamein Gallery team have their annual photo competition on the go again, with $700 in prize money up for grabs.
The theme for both the open section and 14 and under section is ‘Alphabet shapes in the landscape’.
In the black and white photo section, the theme is ‘wind’.
Entries close at 3pm on Thursday, October 2. Judging will start the following day.

Using weather date recorded at the Deniliquin Airport weather station, the lowest recorded temperature in Deniliquin in on record is -5.6℃ which we shivered through on July 1, 2017.
The lowest recorded temperature on record for June 1 -4.4 (June 15, 2006) and the August record is -5 (August 3, 1997).
A little more rain is expected today and Sunday, before spring officially begins on Monday.
