Matilda Overend hosted the fundraising event after losing her grandfather, Ian, to the incurable disease 13 years ago.
Matilda sold more than 55 Big Freeze Beanies on the night, and will do so until the King’s Birthday AFL clash between Melbourne and Collingwood on June 12.
It was blue beanies all around, as Corowa came together to raise $4,500 for MND research.
The prizes awarded in the raffle were donated from businesses throughout the region.
The rain was not the only reason why the beer garden needed a mop, as Matilda and friends took on the ice bucket challenge, meaning the floor was drenched in thick, icey, cold water, which had been thrown over brave and willing participants.
The money gambled to complete the challenge, went straight into the MND donation tin.

About 370 Australians each year are diagnosed with MND.
Matilda said she was hopeful that through a nationwide effort of fundraising and awareness, a cure could be found in the near future.
“I know how proud my grandfather would be knowing that I am doing this,” she said.
“Hopefully one day, with all the money we are raising, there will be a cure.
“It's such a horrible disease.”
