After 25 years as volunteer/coordinator of the Vinnies Shop in Corowa, Cathy O’Shae will take a well-earned break at the end of October.
Through her tireless work in all areas of the shop, Cathy has witnessed its emergence as a highly regarded store, which provides quality furniture, clothing, homewares and more, fulfilling the needs of the surrounding communities.
Cathy said her decision to volunteer at Vinnies was to give back to the local community.
“I have really enjoyed my time at Vinnies, and I have made a lot of new friends and connections,” she said.
Her happy nature has always supported and encouraged her fellow volunteers making it a pleasure to work there.
She has willingly arranged assistance in many areas including the Christmas Hamper project for the St Vincent de Paul conference, helping to help those struggling in these difficult financial times.
Cathy’s husband Brian has provided great backup to her throughout her tenure at Vinnies.
The Vinnies Family thank you Cath; enjoy your well-earned break.
