People braved the heat on Sunday for a fun, festive, family day out at TatFest.

Mactier Park was full of attractions for children, including food, a petting zoo and market stalls.
Visitors were treated to music from young buskers and enjoyed activities such as sumo wrestling, zorb balls and face painting.
A highlight of the event was a demonstration from emergency service personnel, who showed a large crowd how they rescue someone trapped in a car during road accidents.
Organised by the Tatura Lions Club, president Doug Tuhan said the day was a success, despite the high temperatures.
‘‘This is our biggest event of the year,’’ he said.
‘‘It’s nowhere near the crowd we had last year, but otherwise everything’s pretty active.’’
Mr Tuhan said a number of community groups were also involved during the day, including the Tatura Senior Citizens selling scones, an art exhibition by students at Tatura Primary School and a display from Tatura Museum to name a few.
This year, the event used a new system where visitors bought a number of tickets from the information tent to be used at each attraction the Lions ran.
‘‘That way you’re not handling too much money, which is easy,’’ Mr Tuhan said.
