The You Matter Too concert, headlined by Melbourne band The Satts and supported by Bahlin Wishart and Corowa local Marcus Osborne, will be held on Friday, October 3 and once again raise awareness around mental health and raise much needed funds for the Black Dog Institute.
Since the beginning of The Fight Is Real in 2023, Daniel and his modest crew have completed three fundraising events, raising $27,000 for the Black Dog Institute, which included a sell-out concert with Birds of Tokyo last year and earned him Federation Council’s Young Citizen Of The Year 2025.
A big part of The Fight Is Real has been the marketing of merchandise that Daniel has sold over the past two years and fundraising BBQ’s the crew plan on bringing back once again.
“We have a new event logo that will be available on t-shirts and hoodies, as well as 20 fundraising BBQ’s to be held at Waldrons IGA Corowa starting from July 19 and every Saturday/Sunday leading up to our event,” Daniel said.
“We will be selling t-shirts for $40 and hoodies for $60 in white only, with all proceeds being donated to the Black Dog Institute.
“I am also heading to Sydney on August 10 to run alongside the Black Dog Institute in this year’s City2Surf Marathon.”
To support Daniel and his cause, leading up his big concert event on October 3, make sure to get down to Waldrons IGA Corowa each Saturday or Sunday from next weekend (except August 9 and 10) and purchase some merchandise or a sausage in bread.
