The awards were held at The Star Gold Coast on July 14, to recognise, highlight, and celebrate independent retailers across the country.
There were 24 national awards presented across the night with Craig Waldron and his team winning for being a community focused store that goes above and beyond to support locals.
The judges said Craig and the team lend a hand for their community whenever needed, whether it be actively supporting the community’s swimming program, providing sponsorship of local veterans and mental health initiatives, regularly donating to community festivals, or supporting flood recovery efforts when disasters hit.
“This is truly a store that puts the community first,” they said.
Craig said he was thrilled to be the recipient of the award.
“We have a great relationship with our local community, from all our local sporting groups, clubs to the Men's Shed and Aquatic Centre,” he said.
“We have been involved with some great initiatives in the area, including supporting a learn to swim program for the children of the area.
“We are very grateful for the support from the town and the people of Corowa.”
