The funds will be used to improve the resort's car park drainage and accessibility, with the construction of a new all-abilities ramp.
The announcement was made by the Member for Albury Justin Clancy during a visit to the club last Friday.
The grant is a welcome addition to the club which has been working to improve its facilities in recent years.
“The car park drainage issue has been a long-standing problem for the club and our members,” Howlong Gold Resort’s General Manager Shaun Whitechurch said.
“With nowhere for the water to go during heavy rain, access to the club has been difficult and even dangerous. “We are thrilled that the Stronger Communities grant will allow us to finally address this issue and provide a safer and more accessible environment for our members and visitors. Works will commence as soon as possible as the plans have already been drawn up.
“We can’t thank Justin Clancy and the state government enough. We’ve been very fortunate in recent years to receive funding for the betterment of our facilities.”
Operations Manager Alannah Cusack also highlighted the need for all abilities access with the new ramp an important step in the process in making the club a more attractive destination for visitors.
“It’s a welcomed announcement that will now see our aging population and all of our members granted full access to the club all year round without being burdened with flooded access points.”

Member for Albury Justin Clancy congratulated the club on their successful grant outcome.
“The Stronger Country Communities Fund has for a number of years now been an important way of government working together with a council and its community to create places and opportunities where families can be active, pursuing their interests or as visitors to the area, while also socialising and enjoying the real benefits of country living,” Mr Clancy said.
“It’s a good thing to have local facilities looking loved and to make them inviting places to be – and that’s what this NSW government program is all about.”
