Roos 53 def Lavington 34
Saturday’s game was controlled and the play was dictated by a confident Corowa outfit, starting with a bang from the first whistle. The Roos controlled the tempo and directed the play consistently converting turnovers from the get go. It was a wonderful way to finish off the home and away season in the lead up to finals. Yeah the Roo Girls!

A tough contest at Lavington for the Roos. The Panthers came out with a point to prove. The Roo girls worked to contest every ball and battled through to the final whistle, fighting back in the final minutes to decrease the margin. There were just not enough minutes to take the lead. A solid game and great contest. A few things to tidy up at training and we are ready to kick off our finals campaign next week.

Club 1 – Annie Bell – Applied contested pressure at centre breaks, over the ball and around the ring.
‘Perfection Award’ – Zali Spencer – such a work horse, pushed hard all day for her team.
Canteen award – Georgie Bruce – A relentless effort contesting every ball and being a menace in the defence end. An energiser bunny from the first whistle to the last.

A tough game for C grade this week. Lavington sitting on top of the ladder cannot by underestimated as the team goes into finals. A Highly defensive game and the Roos were unable to convert all their centres and make the most of the turnovers. The team will be working hard to consolidate and reset as they go into finals.

Club 1 & Players Player – Bec Kuschert – Bec played outstandingly with intercepts and rebounds working well with Ro in the ring, great communication and reactions, she was able to turnover the ball many times to give our attack end plenty of opportunities.
