Corowa Rutherglen 50 def North Albury 43
B Grade knew that they would have to put in four solid quarters to conquer North Albury on their quest to the Grand Final. Leading at every break Corowa continued to adjust, rotate one great player after another and worked as a team to come away with a seven goal win!
Liv Barber dominated in the ring with her Gretel Tippet moves and Annie Bell came out all guns firing, refusing to let the Hoppers mid court hit the ring with ease. Just one more game to go for the girls!
Congratulations to the C Grade who put in another heart stopping performance to secure their well-deserved position in the Grand Final!
This week A, B and C will each be fighting for the Premiership in the Grand Final.
A Grade faces Wangaratta while B and C Grades will both face Yarrawonga at Norm Minns Oval, Wangaratta.
Let’s get behind all of them.
Go Roos!

Corowa Rutherglen 35 def Lavington 34
The C Grade girls have done it, snatching the win against minor premiers Lavington by a goal and securing a grand final birth alongside the A and B grades.
The girls adjusted well to the wet conditions with great defensive pressure throughout the court, helping to create a lot of opportunities for Bec and Court to get tips and deflections. The team lost their spark in the third quarter, allowing Lavington to jump three goals ahead.
Amy Monte led in attack, nailing some great shots, allowing the Roos to sneak back to a goal in front. The girls held their nerve, coming out 34-35 winners.
Every girl who took to the court contributed to this win and showed how truly resilient the team is.
A big congratulation to the courageous coach, Rowena Black, who stepped out onto the court for the 200th time with the Roos! The team is so lucky to have such an amazing club person like Ro, an absolute champion player but also a champion person.
