Corowa 41 def Yarrawonga 33
It was an exciting game on Saturday against a very experience Yarra team. Another hot one but the Roos youth and fitness held up well.
The defence end combined well to force Yarra's shooters to re-feed many times throughout the game. Leah and Zo remained disciplined on the circle edge creating heaps of pressure down court.
Middies fought and tussled all day, it's always great to see the return of Ella Kingston who just streams onto circle edge easily. Lisa and Indi played a strong first quarter in the ring before super sub debutant Lou Madden was brought on to finish the game in GS.
All shooters played their role against a tall Yarra defensive circle. Ripping game by all. Exciting times in Roo camp. Looking forward to a week off and then a big game against Myrt on 11 May.

In the absence of Court and Macey we had several new faces join us this week. We were strong in defence with plenty of turnovers.
We had passages of brilliance and are working towards stringing four full quarters together, again this week, the score line did not reflect how competitive we were. With small refinements, a win is on the cards.

C grade played their best game so far this week but an early first quarter run by Yarra kept us fighting to stay in the game.
The girls rallied together and kept bringing the score back in and showed more consistency which is what we have been focusing on.
We had multiple changes in today’s game and our stand-out performer was Jess King who has returned to the blue and white in amazing form with skilled passes and smart movements off the line and in the ring.
Jade Lane was strong in defence again with great hands over and blocking drives from the Yarra atteckers.
Eloise Black stood out again in goals with her holding strength and positioning in the ring.

A fantastic game by all today, every girl contributed and put in 110%.
Our attackers found their groove with Kair and Alex rotating well in the circle. They were supported well out the front with some beautiful feeding of Keeley and Rhi. Katy, Sav and Nellie combined beautifully through the midcourt, building pressure which created a lot of opportunities for our defenders.
Auds, Sommers and Talia worked well in the ring, rebounding and getting a lot of deflections. Super proud of how the girls bounced back from last week. Improving each and every week!

15s went into today a little timid and Yarra made us pay for that. We played some wonderful netball and applied pressure to the Yarra girls but couldn’t get the job done.
We finished again with a strong last quarter, our best for the day with an energy shift and momentum swing in our favour.
The shift came a bit late to impact the 14 goal score deficit at the final whistle.
