Nate Jones, Cohen Wilcox, and Koby Widdison were three young bowlers from the Corowa High School who competed in the NSW Combined High School Bowling Championships 2025.

The students were part of the Riverina Team, who were selected to play in Sydney over a three-day tournament.
Weather conditions were cold, windy, and wet for the first two days, and the greens were difficult.
Day one was disappointing for the boys.
Day two, they won two games and drew one.
Day three, the sun came out, and the team won their final and finished fifth in the state.

Corowa Civic Bowls
Corowa Civic Bowls social bowls winners, Paul Hickey and Ray Ager.
Social bowls on Wednesday was played on a nice sunny day with 18 players taking part. The club welcomed visitors Kevin Bowler from Corowa RSL and Beryl and Mick Liebrick from Northern NSW.
Winners were Ray Ager and Paul Hickey with + 32. Runners up – Lance Davis, Kevin Bowler and Janet Davis with +30.
Eight brave players decided to have a game on Saturday in very cold wintery conditions. After about six ends when the rain became too heavy, it was decided to abandon playing and come into the warmth of the clubhouse.

The next social day will be on Wednesday, commencing at 12.30pm, names in by 11.45am. Games will also be played on Saturday with the same times as Wednesday.
Entries are being accepted for the Mixed Pairs Consistency Tournament, which will be played on Saturday and Sunday, 16-17 August 2025. Good prize money with five games of 75 up 2x4x2 over the two days. Phone your entry to Col Hendren on 0428 060 774 or Annette Norman on 0407 781 574.

Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
The winners on Sunday afternoon with a score of 18 and 5 (23) were Joan Fletcher, Joan Catlin, Gloria McCluskey, and Merylyn Milthorpe. With the runners-up on 17 and 5 (22) being the team of Naz Carnivale, Gloria McCluskey, and Tony Coppolino.
Tuesday’s prize winners on 15 and 16 (31) were Helen Bartel, Ian Day, and Betty Clancy. With Gloria McCluskey, Wendy Dunbar, and Joe Carnivale coming second on 10 and 16 (26).
And Thursday’s winners on 18 and 17 (35) were Joe Carnivale, Peter Manning, and Dawn Sander. And the runners-up on 15 and 16 (31) were, Ken Pleming, Ellen Buckley, Wendy Dunbar, and Gwen Mills.
