Social Bowls was played in cool cloudy conditions on the Nixon Green.
The Greens Committee report that the green is running very well.
The pairs and triples were contested by 14 bowlers, and the winners were Razz Porter and Peter Mills.
Runners-up were Gary Brown, Clint Snow and Kevin Bowler.
Open Saturday Jackpot Pairs and Triples
Fourteen bowlers played 2.4.2 and the Jackpot wasn't drawn.
The Jackpot now stands at $56 plus next week's green fee allocation.
Tallangatta Challenge
On Thursday, July 23, Razz Porter, John Dalgliesh and Ken Mollison won the Tallangatta Challenge.
Deniliquin Classic Pairs Tournament
The pairs championship tournament in Deniliquin was contested by six bowlers from Club Corowa Bowls Club.
Jason Long and Kyle Phuy, Justin Robb and Sam Beaton, and president and vice president Shawn McMachon and Scott Widdison.
Shawn and Scott made it through to the final eight.
Leeton Bowls Weekend Tournament
On August 1 and 2, nine members travelled to Leeton for a weekend tournament.
It was great to see members supporting other tournaments and representing Club Corowa Bowls Club.
Federation Men's Triples Championship Tournament
Sponsored by Club Corowa, tournament secretary Chris Cooney reports that the Tournament is full.
The tournament is played over the weekend of September 12 and 13.
Corowa Civic Bowls Club
Social bowls on Wednesday saw 26 bowlers competing for the spoils. Results.
Winners on the day were Steve Rodway, Kevin Bowler and Ken Noack, with runners-up Keith Evans and Shane Rosenow.
On Saturday, 22 bowlers played in lovely sunshine with hardly any breeze, so nice to get out in the beautiful weather.
A big welcome to visitor Glenice Campbell from Rutherglen.
Saturday winners were Col Hendren, Keith Evans and Sue Curtis, with runners-up Michele Shields and Ann Sadowski.
Congratulations to John Dalgleish, who took part in 2026 Bowls NSW Rookie Singles Riverina Murray qualifiers.
John was representing Oaklands Bowling Club at the event played at Wagga RSL Bowling Club.
John did very well to get into the last six; unfortunately he lost his game in the semi-final on Sunday morning.
The first round of the Club Handicap Mixed Pairs will be played on Sunday, August 9; further rounds will be played on Sunday, August 23.
The Mixed Pairs Consistency Tournament will take place over the weekend of August 15 and 16, with very good numbers taking place.
Entries are being taken by Annette Norman 0407 781 574, Pam Tobias 0408 332 226 and Eileen Ide 0402 027 797 for the Gwen Tait Ladies Triples Tournament on Thursday, September 17, commencing at 9.30am.
We’ve had a good response so far, with spaces still available for more teams, so hurry and add your team to this event.
Corowa Indoor Carpet Bowls
Winners on Sunday with a score of 16 and 16 (32) were Joan Fletcher, Greg Williamson, and Angela Clapton, with the runners-up on 16 and 11 (27) being Jan Webber, Merylyn Milthorpe, Tony Coppolino and Sylvia Williamson.
On Tuesday, winners were Helen Palmer, Joan Fletcher, and Wendy Dunbar on 10 and 16(26), with runners-up on 4 and 18 (22) being Georgie Agnew, Joan Catlin and Jan Webber.
Thursday’s winners on 17 and 15 (32) were Margaret Watson, Merylyn Milthorpe, and Anne Smith, with runners-up on 15 and 16 (31) being Gloria McCluskey, Marie Leary, and Jan Webber.
