Social bowls results
Monday June 3, 2-4-2 there were 2 teams sharing the winnings as they couldn’t be split. Winners - Greg Fisher/Les Wilson and Jock McQualter/Brian Batty. Runners Up – Les Spencer and Neil Hamilton. The Jackpot was not claimed and will be carried forward to next Monday.
Wednesday June 5 saw Social Bowls resume with a good roll up for the first game back. 24 bowlers played Triples and all enjoyed a fun day with the cards being fanned. Winners – Keith Allender, Kay Tait and Gwen Maddox. Runners Up – Noel Owen, Eugene O’Connor and Peter Taylor. The Jackpot was not claimed and will be carried forward to next Wednesday.

Club Mulwala Bowls
Tuesday Social Bowls
A great day for social bowls. The winter weather has arrived; however, this did not deter the 24 players who had a fun and very competitive game of bowls. Six visitors were welcomed, including – Pam and Al Dodman, Ian Goodger, Colin Withers, Gary Seamer, and Stan McIntosh. Representing Berrigan Bowls Club, Border Golf Club, and Kyabram Bowls Club. Players also enjoyed coffee and tea in the Long Tan Room prior to the game. Winners on the day- Colin Withers, Robbo Lockwood, and Barry Martin (who has defiantly mastered the use of an arm). Runners Up- Ray Tovey, Al Dodman, Ian Goodger, Pam Dodman. The winners enjoying a Club Mulwala voucher.
2024/2025 Membership
Full Membership: $100 - Includes- Free weekly coaching, club bowling shirt, all club championship games free for the season, complimentary meal at the presentation dinner.
Social Membership: $30- Includes complimentary meal at the presentation dinner.
Social Game Fees: $5 per game.
New members- your membership form must be received and approved by the Executive Committee before proceeding with payment.

Pennant 2024/2025 Season
A sheet has been posted on the board at the greens for interested members to place their names on for the 2024/2025 Pennant season. The selection committee ask members to place their names on the list asap so the number of teams to be entered for the upcoming Pennant season can be finalised.
Ladies Social Luncheon
A social lunch has been organised for Monday, June 24 at Diggers Restaurant, Club Mulwala at 12 noon. All lady members and male members partners are very welcome. Please place your name on the list on the notice board at the greens. This will be a great way for new and old members and their partners to meet and socialise as the new season begins. YMGCR Bowls
Wednesday Social Bowls
20 players participated last Wednesday, June 5. All games were played on the west green which was running freely. The format was two games of the ever popular three bowl pairs. In first place were Chris Horne (S) and Greg Green (L), who won in something of canter with both their games won and a shot total of a very impressive plus 23.
Second place went to the combo of Ray Brown (S) and Les Wilson (L) who also won in fine style with both games won and a shot total of an impressive plus 21 shots.
Third place went to Gavin Borwick (S), and Lynne Baxter (L), who won their two games with a shot total of plus 3 shots.
The Lucky Number winners were Terry Baxter and Liliana Borwick.
Friday Social Bowls
40 players enjoyed the fine weather on Friday, June 7 and both greens, which ran well, were used for the day’s play. As usual the format was one game of 18 ends of 2 x 4 x 2 pairs. First place went to Greg Green and Andy LeFevre.
Second place went to Bruce Irvine and Ian Morffew. The losing consolation prize went to the team of Ian ‘Skeeta’ Keat and Shane Maddox.
The drinks cards were won by Bob Evans and Anthony Clota. Until next week, good bowling.
