Benalla Rovers launch Miniroos program

On Friday, April 19, the Benalla Rovers Soccer Club will launch its MiniRoos program for four- to 10-year-olds.

The launch of the program coincides with the club celebrating its 70th year.

A club spokesperson said MiniRoos is an introductory soccer program designed for kids of all abilities.

“The friendly, supportive and non-competitive environment is the perfect opportunity for newcomers to enter the world of soccer,” the spokesperson said.

“Learning through play allows young people of all abilities the structure to learn and develop at their own pace.

“Meeting new friends is a bonus.”

The one-hour, short game-based skills sessions have modified rules to build a participant’s fundamental motor skills and agility as well as improving their ability to make quick decisions and improve reaction time.
