The senior football side suffered an 187-point loss against Strathmerton on Saturday who are undefeated in 2024.
Redeyes seniors head coach Adrian Timmis said Strathmerton was full of quality.
“They (Strathy) are a very good outfit.
“They lost a grand final last year and look a hungry side, I know I would be the year after a loss in the grand final.”
Timmis said there wasn’t much else the Redeyes could’ve done last week.
“We did the things we could do, and we haven’t really had too many ins or outs.
“They nullified our scoring opportunities, they press up well and they’re a very good side.”
One area Timmis said could be improved on is letting other teams get a strong advantage from the start of the match.
“Our starts are a bit concerning. I have a few things in place for training this week to try to turn that around.”
This week presents Blighty with another opportunity to improve, Timmis said.
“It’s another challenge.
“We’re looking forward to Tungamah and keep improving that’s all we can really do.”
