The Corowa Festival of Dance, known for organising multiple social ballroom events and festivals throughout the year, spared no effort in creating a magical evening for dance enthusiasts.
The event drew participants not only from Corowa but also from Albury, Benalla, and Canberra, highlighting its growing popularity and reach within the broader dancing community.
Corowa Festival of Dance President Geoff Mallows expressed his delight at the success of the evening.
“Dylan Forge’s performance was nothing short of exceptional,” Mr Mallows said.
“His ability to adapt his music to suit various dancing styles resonated with the diverse crowd present, making it a huge hit.”
The committee is proud to showcase local talents like Dylan Forge, contributing to the vibrant dance culture in the region.
In addition to the mesmerising performances on the dance floor, the Enjoy Dance studio added an extra layer of excitement to the evening by conducting medal examinations for its ballroom dancers.
The accomplished examiner, Margot Stretch, travelled all the way from Pakenham to assess the skills of Anthony Peper’s students.
Ms Stretch was reportedly impressed with the high standard of dancing displayed by the students. The highlight of the examinations was the presentation of bronze medals to the dance students, adding an extra layer of achievement to the festive atmosphere. Notably, Margot was particularly delighted with the performance of Imogen Forge, who, despite training for only a few short weeks, showcased exceptional talent and dedication.
The Corowa Festival of Dance’s Christmas Dinner Dance has once again proven to be a resounding success, bringing together dance enthusiasts from various regions and celebrating the rich talent present in the local community.
