Edinburgh Shield
Last weekend Corowa RSL Bowls Club hosted a section of the statewide Edinburgh Shield competition.
Teams came from Hampton, Rosebud, Sale, Deniliquin and Altona.
Ninety- six bowlers played five games over the two days.
The winner was Deniliquin RSL Bowls Club with 8 points, followed closely by Rosebud with seven points.
All the bowlers enjoyed the perfect autumn weather, the good greens and the hospitality of Club Corowa.
Thanks to Club Corowa, Campbells Wines and the Corowa Chocolate Factory, joint sponsors for the event.
Victorian State Championships
RSL member, Scott Widdison and Mason Bayliss from Wodonga travelled to Bendigo for the play-offs in the State Pairs last weekend.
Scott and Mason won their first game, progressing to the quarter finals. All four players displayed a high standard of bowls to be 13 all after 15 ends.
An extra end was played and unfortunately Scott and Mason went down by one shot.
This was a great effort, well done Scott and Mason.
