Tuesday, October 11 saw 32 bowlers take to the greens for mid-week pennant practice.
The first game of the Men’s Triples was also played on Tuesday. The team of Roger Mathers, Allen Bartlett and Andy Dickins were too good for last years winners, Tony Coughlin, Alan Holmquest and Raz Porter, winning 16 shots to 8.
The Thursday Night Rollers was washed out, it will now start tomorrow October 20 and run for the next four weeks. There is currently a field of 14 teams.
The first round of weekend pennant was cancelled by O&M due to the flooding impacting roads throughout the region last Saturday.
The club took advantage of the day off by having practice matches against Corowa Civic Bowling Club.
A great day of bowls and fellowship was enjoyed by all.
Three games of Club Triples were played on Sunday, October 16. The team of Darryl Brown, Gary Brown and Peter Summerill won 16-10 over Peter Smith, David Muir and Keith Mills.
Rosemary Baddeley, Anne Smith and Susie Swift had a win over Ros Lewis, Maree Jones and Lorraine Carmody, 18-8.
Robyn Fierenzi, Rhonda Clark and Anne Summerill were victorious over Julie Holmquest, Lynne Mills and Janet Davis, 17-8.
Team Summerill now plays team Swift in the final.
