Corowa Sharks relay teams had a successful meet, taking home one gold, four silver and one bronze.
The Corowa Sharks have capped off their 2026 Ovens and Murray District Swimming Association (OMDSA) long course season in style, delivering an impressive all-round performance at the Relay Championships on March 15 at the Wangaratta Sports and Aquatic Centre.

Competing in 34 events across the day, Corowa showcased depth across all age groups, combining strong results with a spirited team atmosphere in what proved to be a fitting end to the season.
The club’s open girls relay teams were among the standout performers, with Ciara Delany, Mia Hogan, Mae Bassingthwaite and Emmi DeMamiel securing second place in both the freestyle and medley events.
Corowa’s boys 16 and under 200m medley relay team — Lucas Bellette, Nicholas Tukuniu, Marshall Lees and Ethan Marks — also impressed, claiming silver before backing up to take bronze in the 200m freestyle relay.
Herys Castro and Wyatt Jones performed well in the boys 10 and under division, securing second place in the 200m freestyle relay.
In the junior ranks, the boys 10 and under 200m freestyle relay team of Herys Castro, Wyatt Jones, Finn Walsh and Jobe Osborne delivered a strong swim to finish second.
The girls 14 and under 200m medley relay team of Rylee Tukuniu, Emmi DeMamiel, Ciara Delany and Mia Hogan produced one of the highlights of the meet, touching first to secure gold and underline the club’s strength across multiple age groups.
Beyond the podium finishes, Corowa recorded top-10 placings in a further 19 events and narrowly missed the medals with a fourth-place finish in the mixed open 500m freestyle relay.
The championships marked a successful conclusion to the summer season, with swimmers demonstrating clear development and commitment.
The results reflect the dedication of athletes, coaches and families who have contributed to the club’s progress throughout the year.
