The Corowa Sharks (CRWA) delivered an outstanding performance at the Open Meet held at North Albury on Sunday, November 9, combining podium success with a flood of personal bests.

The team’s dedication and determination were evident across all age groups, earning a strong fourth place out of nine teams.
Freya Rae (13) led the medal haul with firsts in the 200m Individual Medley (2:41.31, PB –3.95) and 100m Breaststroke (1:28.33, PB –1.92), plus third in the 200m Freestyle (2:22.50, PB –0.69).

Marshall Lees (13) also struck gold twice in the 50m Breaststroke (41.15, PB –2.52) and 100m Breaststroke (1:29.43, PB –2.52).
Nicholas Tukuniu (16) claimed silver in the 200m Backstroke (2:27.21, PB –2.75), while Austin Toon (eight) secured silver in the 50m Freestyle (51.63, PB –4.32) and Judd Talbot (eight) earned silver in the 50m Backstroke (57.98).
Archie Marshall (10) added a silver in the 50m Breaststroke (53.28).

Younger Sharks made impressive strides with significant PBs.
Jobe Osborne (10) earned bronze in the 50m Butterfly (56.76, PB –2.70), while also dropping 3.95 seconds off his 50m Freestyle (45.17) and a remarkable 10.33 seconds off his 100m Freestyle (1:45.12).
Leo Bolonis (nine) shaved 5.03 seconds off his 50m Freestyle (49.77), and Xander Bolonis (10) improved across three events – 50m Backstroke (48.97, PB –0.58), 50m Freestyle (38.99, PB –0.72), and 50m Breaststroke (58.27, PB –1.45).
Max Hamilton (10) achieved PBs in 50m Backstroke (48.72, –1.37), 50m Freestyle (43.17, –2.26) and 100m Backstroke (1:54.47, –0.61).

Austin Lees (11) recorded 50m Freestyle (37.26, –1.14) and 50m Backstroke (45.18, –1.54) PBs.
Archie Marshall (10) added PBs in 50m Backstroke (51.31, –0.66), 50m Freestyle (41.10, –1.79), and 100m Freestyle (1:43.07, –1.12).
Emma Marshall (nine) achieved PBs in 50m Backstroke (1:01.87, –0.35) and 50m Breaststroke (1:04.87, –0.35).
Ollie Talbot (six) cut 2.96 seconds off his 50m Freestyle (59.12), and Zara Toon (10) dropped 4.79 seconds in the 50m Backstroke (54.29) and 4.17 seconds in the 50m Freestyle (48.41).

The meet’s top honour went to Emmi DeMamiel (12), named Swimmer of the Meet after dominating with eight gold medals across all four strokes and medley events.
