Leading the charge at the SISA Championships and Speedo Sprints, held at Oasis Aquatic Centre in Wagga Wagga, was Mia Hogan, who delivered outstanding performances in the Multiclass 13-years and over category.
Mia rewrote the record books in six events, breaking SISA records in the 100m backstroke, 100m freestyle, 100m butterfly, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke.
It was a remarkable achievement, highlighting both her versatility and consistency across all strokes.
Ciara also enjoyed a phenomenal meet in the 13 years age group, setting new SISA records in four sprint events.
Her record-breaking swims came in the 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle, 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke, showcasing her speed and strength across freestyle and butterfly, as well as her growing backstroke form.
Adding to the historic weekend, Emmi delivered a powerful breaststroke performance, breaking SISA records in the 13 years 100m breaststroke and 50m breaststroke, before stepping up to the open age group to set a new Open 200m breaststroke record, an impressive achievement against senior competition.
Rounding out the record-breaking efforts was Freya, who set a new SISA record in the 13 years 400m freestyle, demonstrating strength, endurance and race maturity well beyond her age.
In total, the Sharks claimed 14 new SISA records, an extraordinary achievement for the club and a testament to the dedication, hard work and support surrounding the swimmers.
These results reflect not only individual excellence, but also the strength of the club’s coaching, training environment and team culture.
The club would like to thank SISA and the meet officials for hosting such a well-run and exciting competition.
