Women’s League Tag Team

Sophie Lee earned Players’ Player honours for her outstanding contribution which included two tries and many key tags, with Skye Rodgers named runner-up for her consistent performance throughout the contest running incredible lines and being a clear running threat to the opposition.
Shanae Murphy received the Coaches Award for her work in hooker, while Montana Hargreaves was recognised with the Old Boys award.
Men’s Rugby League
Ned Blackley breaks the Wombats line.
The men’s side enjoyed an afternoon of attacking rugby league, securing a comprehensive 102-4 victory over Wodonga Wombats in a match played as nine-a-side due to the Wombats’ limited numbers.
The modified format created an open, fast-paced encounter that allowed the Cougars to showcase their squad depth and team cohesion.
Every player who took the field contributed meaningfully to what became a comprehensive team performance.
The match marked a special milestone for 2025 new recruit Christian Flitton, who crossed for his first try in Cougars colours.
Having joined the club this year, Flitton’s debut try was a fitting reward for his commitment to the team and provided a memorable moment in what was already a dominant display.
The comprehensive nature of the victory provided valuable game time for the entire squad and allowed the coaching staff to rotate players and maintain match fitness across the group as they prepare for the crucial final rounds of the regular season.
The Cougars currently sit in second position on the Senior Men’s ladder with 20 points from 10 matches, trailing competition leaders Tumbarumba Greens by just two points. With the minor premiership still within reach, every remaining match provides an opportunity to apply pressure on the league leaders.
Blade Parker earned Players’ Player honours for his contribution, with Dom Marzano named runner-up for his consistent efforts throughout the contest.
