Lock Sophie Lee proved a constant threat with her powerful running.
She crossed for two tries through her ability to run strong that stretched the Muddogs defence.
Her runner-up finish in the Players’ player voting reflected her significant contribution to the game.
The defensive effort was anchored by several standout performances, with Shanae Murphy earning the Coaches’ Pick award for her multiple try-saving tags under intense pressure.
Tyler Hocking demonstrated her defensive awareness, reading a CSU Muddog play perfectly to secure a crucial intercept that helped maintain the Cougars’ advantage.
Meanwhile, winger Camryn Andracchio provided a safe and consistent option in both attack and defence.
She cleanly collected a kick on the Cougars’ line during CSU Muddogs’ fifth tackle.
Erin McGregor was also recognised with the Old Boys award.
Next week the Corowa Cougars travel to Eldorado to take on Tumbarumba Greens, as they look to maintain their winning momentum in the Goulburn Murray Storm Premiership.
