The A-grade decider saw a second-day boilover with league-leaders Cobram’s bid for three A-grade premierships in a row in a home grand final disrupted by Nathalia.
Nathalia got an early victory, winning the toss and electing to bat at Cobram.
Opening the batting Luke Quinn was the top-scorer making 71 from 143 balls including six fours and two sixes.
Emile Haratbar’s 15 and Ash Quinn’s 33 not out were the other double figure scores which saw Nathalia post 152 all out from 69.3 overs on Saturday.
Adam De Cicco (4/38), Shaun Downie (3/22) and Tyron Baden (2/36) were the Cobram wicket takers with Eamon Hyde also getting a run out.
While not a huge target with 80 overs for Cobram to chase, Nathalia’s relentless bowling stifled the Cobram batters.
Tyron Baden put together a counter attacking 40 off 97 balls with seven fours at number six for Cobram.
However, crucial wickets from Dylan Cunningham (3/24), James Nugent (2/22), Ash Quinn (2/30) and Luke Quinn (2/27) had Cobram stunned, all out for 129 seeing Nathalia awarded the premiership winning by 23 runs on Sunday.
It marks a return to the top for Nathalia who last won the senior premiership in 2022/23.
In the B-grade final, Berrigan were too strong for Barooga.
The Saints won the toss at Barooga and scored 7/196 from their 40 overs, with Luke Melville top-scoring with 55.
In reply, Barooga were 3/129 with slightly more than eight overs remaining, but the required run-rate became too much as the home side lost 7/23 to be all out for 152 from 36.4 overs.
Jordan Swann (3/38), Fraser Haintz (2/24), Matthew Ross (2/29) and Luke Melville (2/30) all contributed with wickets as Berrigan won by 44 runs.
In C-grade, Finley claimed the premiership, defeating Strathmerton by 31 runs at Berrigan.
Finley’s 156 all out from 34.5 overs was enough, as Strathmerton were all out for 125 in 31 overs.
Matt Clarke top-scored with 51 retired not out, opening the batting for Finley, while Jacob Armer’s 4/14 were the Cats’ best figures with the ball.
In the under-15s, Barooga completed a sweep of the junior finals with their 110 all out from 38.3 overs enough to beat Tocumwal by 38 runs, who were all out for 72 from 34.5 overs.
